I’ve been using Scrivener for a month now, and while I love it, the program keeps crashing.
I know that there have been some discussions already on the program crashing, however, the crashes don’t happen at one particular instance or action that I take. It’s quite sporadic. If I leave the program open for awhile, at some point it will crash. If I move between corkboard view or text, it will crash. If I import a lot of things, it will crash. I would say that this program crashes 2-3 times a day for me and when I try to reboot, it will crash automatically unless I leave it alone for some time. In addition to this, the most recent save of my progress is not actually saved upon reboot of the system (after crashing). I’ve noticed this in particular to the index card notes that I make rather than the word processor.
Does this have something to do with the type of operating system I’m using? I have Windows 7 and I’m running this on a 64 bit computer. I don’t know if any of that is contributing to the frequent crashes.
In addition to this, whenever I try to change the fonts, the program won’t save those changes. I’ll change from one to another, click on Save, and then it will revert back to the previous font every single time. I also have issues when I copy and paste text into the word processor, that even if I highlight sections to change font or size, it will not carry out those changes.
