Since the last update, I can not save edits in the layouts of my sections.
Any change I do in the settings of a section layout (text alignment, title options, ticking or not ticking the “replace text layout” at the bottom, ticking any settings in the last settings tab) is not saved when I hit “Save”…
I am not sure how this would have happened over the course of an update, that is probably a coincidence, but if you look at your Format list before you try and edit any of them, you will see two other copies of it by this name, both of which are flagged with an error icon. This indicates the formats are full duplicates, in a way that can confuse Scrivener.
Normally when you duplicate a format in Scrivener (for example in the right-click menu), it creates a unique internal token for it that sets it apart from all other formats, even if they share the same name. If you were to copy the format on the disk yourself though, inside the project package, then you would get this warning. By “you” I also mean potentially indirectly, like a cloud sync server not knowing what to do with changes made to multiple devices, and creating duplicate conflict copies of the files.
I can’t say for sure if that would cause what you’re seeing, but it’s worth clearing these problems first. Right-click on any of these Formats, and use the entry at the bottom of the right-click menu to fix duplicate IDs. After that you’ll probably want to clean them up and only have one left.
