I just downloaded the trial for macOS and I’m experimenting. I don’t see a way to adjust the spacing between paragraphs in the editor. Is there a way to do that? Also, is there a way to style a header the way you can in HTML, with background, padding, and border? I like doing that, but can’t find a WYSIWYG editor that does it. I attached an example screenshot? (It has CSS styles like padding:4px 7px; background: rgb(…); border-radius: 8px.
As a new user, start by doing the interactive tutorial. That way you’ll learn the basics and get a better understanding of core principles of Scrivener.
I’ve done most of the tutorial. Yes, I understand it’s not pure WYSIWYG, but I can still adjust some formatting, unlike pure text/code editors. I’m interested in the live editor appearance and the final “compiled” appearance.
The normal way is to use the Binder titles as headers in the compiled output, not to have them in the text.
How to compile is described in the tutorial. Next step is to look in the manual. It covers all the details.
