A Problem with Find

A number of times I’ve searched for text in a document, knowing it’s there, only to have Scrivener not find it (boop).

Finally, I figured out what was going on. Check out this screenshot:

Can you see why “bridget” wasn’t found? The answer is that the Notes window had focus. That’s why.

You might see if there’s some way to let the user know that the search did not take place for the document.

But your search did take place, didn’t it? You told Scrivener to search in Notes (you had the cursor in the Notes panel) so that’s what it did. That seems preferable to limiting Find to editor fields.
