I have 5 dogs (4 Toy Poodles and one mutant) and a really fat cat.
One of the Dogs (Mr. Speedy) is a unique sight.
He is a Bassedor.
Half Basset Hound Half Lab. (Looks like a wrinkly midget lab)
Here is Mr. Speed with one of our Large Toy Poodles, Connor
And Sir Alex is a fat cat who thinks he is a dog. He only plays with dog toys and growls and barks like a dog when really angry.
(Yes that is his big belly)
Wock, your cat and puppies are adorable! Sir Alex, how can I not love him with that name!? Your poodle reminded me of my poodle, Appie, who was almost 17 years old when we had to put her to sleep. That was just a couple of weeks ago, so you can imagine we are still quite sad. But she got to a point where she couldn’t walk any longer and her life was pretty miserable. We just couldn’t justify letting her hang on just because we didn’t want to make a difficult decision. Here is Appie in her younger years:
We aren’t sure what mix Mila is. Perhaps boxer/lab, or boston terrier/lab, or pit bull or staffordshire/lab. Hadn’t thought of Jack Rusell, but that would explain the energy level!! She doesn’t really have a pit temperament, so I have my doubts about the that. Whatever she is, she’s a real terrier personality with definite Lab elements! And a most wonderful being.
That’s very sad, Alex - but you did the right thing. And 17 years is an excellent age for a dog too. I am sure it was a wonderful life she had with you.
I love Sir Alex, what a great expression he’s got in that photo. My cats have always behaved slightly dog-like, in that they come when I call. It must be down to me, since even Toby is doing it now.
