Access to internet through proxy server

I have a small home network that sits behind a proxy server. All internet access has to go through this proxy server.

When I tried to set scrivener to automatically check for updates, it fails with “no internet connection”

As a windows program, it should be using the internet settings defined for internet explorer. It would also be nice if the settings page included a tab for the proxy server

Thanks, I’ll take a look into this. The auto-updater is currently undergoing some fixes, which might account for this; at any rate, as that’s currently not working (in general, regardless of internet settings) you’ll need to download the 026 update (the most recent beta) directly from the website and check back for announcements on the next release.

Thanks or that. I’ve downloaded 0.26, I’ll check in every few days with the forum to see when the next version is released.
