i have recently started using a mac and struggle with the old habits. while i was writing on scrivener, i pressed fn+command+3 and the text disappeared. undo is not an option. where has it gone?

after i did everything and could not figure out how the entire text was gone or how come undo wasn’t working, i gave up and moved on to a different folder. after clicking on a few more folders, when i returned to the ‘gone’ folder, the text was right there in perfect condition.
forgive my ignorance, and please if anyone knows what i did, let me know.
thankfully scrivener support has responded incredibly quickly; apparently cmd+3 sent me from editing into outline. it was only a ‘view’ issue after all.
i’m happy.
