I’m having trouble adding videos to my Research folder. Well, I can add them (.mp4 files, saved to my harddrive) but then Scrivener won’t play them. Is there something special I have to do to add/view video files?
right click on the video file
select OPEN
select OPEN IN EXTERNAL EDITOR
I’ve been able to play .mp4, .flv and .mov this way
.wav and .mp3 work internally in Scrivener

i am having the same problem. I’ve dragged videos into my research folder but they don’t play. i’ve also tried opening in another application, but i get no response. can someone help me figure out what i’m doing wrong?

Could you be more specific. what kind of video files and your procedure for opening files
Also, I am on WINXP service pack 3, so my answer may not be relevant if your system is different
Same for me. mp4 video files do not play.
