I have an historical fiction novel that I have been working on for over 3 years. I have 325k words of story and probably a million in research.
I use a Macbook Pro 15inch 2019, 2.6 GHz i7, 16GB Ram, Catalina (please let me see you suggest Scrivener is not reliable on Catalina)
I hit Command -S at least 30 times a day. At least.
It is worthless to do so, for it is a fucking joke!
Today I simply highlighted half a chapter, to put it into another chapter, copied it (not cut) and pasted it into the next blank text section.
No worries, I saved about 5 minutes ago.
Nope, fuck you, says Scrivener, you revert back to the snapshot you took on the 7th.
Word to the wise, Command-S is worthless, you now need 500 snapshots in each chapter.
Unless you have a magical way for me to recover my 12,000 words since the 7th, don’t bother piping in.
Looking for a new program to replace this one as all confidence is forever gone, I’ll gladly take these recommendations.
Yes I sent a crash report.
