Alt+X shortcut for Unicode hexpoint

It would be useful to have the standard Office shortcut (or any shortcut) for inserting special characters, namely, type the hexadecimal code point and then Alt+X to convert that character string to the Unicode glyph. I know that a few of these can be done using the numpad and ASCII codes, but many people (including me) need many more symbols, especially when doing mathematical, scientific or technical writing. Thanks.

This request is somewhat related to this one: [url]https://forum.literatureandlatte.com/t/3-layout-mode-character-manager/36656/1]

Thanks, we’ll look into whether this is doable with the framework we use. It would be good to support if we’re able to make it work!

Thanks Jennifer/MM! It’s a little thing that makes a big difference. I was so psyched when Libre finally built it in about a year ago.
