An author shares Scriv projects for published works!

I shared this on Twitter, but thought it worth mentioning here; Marry Robinette Kowal, an award-winning fantasy author, is offering the Scrivener projects from two of her novels as a perk to "subscription level’ backers of the Kickstarter campaign to fund Uncanny Magazine, year 2. There are only a couple of days left in the campaign, so if you’re interested in any of these things, better jump quick!

The books she’s sharing are Hugo-nominated fantasies set in the Regency period, the elevator pitch usually being “Jane Austen plus magic”, or “Jane Austen meets Oceans 11, with magic”. The “magic” in question are ‘glamours’–essentially permanent illusions used as decoration by the very rich, usually considered ‘womens’ work by the middle and upper classes. Being able to see how she organized her book, and also seeing ‘deleted scenes’ and characters she cut from the stories should prove edifying. The books are also very good, especially if you like the idea of Regency romance with a touch of magic.
