It would be great to have an option in the project target to see gross progress in addition to the current net progress. So I might want to set a daily target of writing 750 words and deleting 250 words, just to enforce some daily editing. Net it’s a 500 word target, but it keeps me from stopping excitedly when I get to 500, knowing that I really should also be editing my crap every day.
It’s not quote the same as “count negatives”, because that only shows a negative if it’s a net negative. Visually could gross progress be done with two bars, total additions and total deletions, or a bar that had them stacked somehow?
