Anyone using Scrivener 2.9 for Mac?

I want to purchase Scrivener, but my mac is 10.11, and the newest version requires 10.12. I read somewhere that I can purchase the license for Scrivener 3 and use version 2.9, but honestly I am not sure what that entails because when I go to checkout at either the mac store or the LiteratureandLatte website, the checkout just takes me to the product.

Any suggestions or tips? Are there other novel writing programs that you recommend?

I appreciate any help. I am a total newbie at this.

If you’re stuck on a version of macOS that does not support Scrivener 3, then you own Scrivener 2.9. :slight_smile: Download it, install it, and have fun. If you’re on a newer OS then it does require an existing licence, but those aren’t for sale any more.
