Arranging Cards Vertically (in columns that wrap)

Thanks for Scrivener! I’m using it for documentary planning/scripting and it is helping brilliantly. I plan to show it to all my documentary filmmaker colleagues.

However, for some reason, when storyboarding scenes in the TV/documentary industry, they always progress vertically, not horizontally. So the NEXT scene is the card BELOW the current one (not the card to the RIGHT), and the PREVIOUS scene is the card ABOVE. And the columns wrap to the next column when you run out of room.

Unfortunately, the “arrange cards in columns” toggle isn’t available when you don’t have multiple folders selected. I’m hoping you can change this.

The two workarounds I’ve found don’t work:

  1. Using 1 card across doesn’t work because it doesn’t wrap to the next column at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Selecting multiple folders is the right idea – but (1) again it doesn’t wrap and (2) you need to have your scenes in multiple folders, which isn’t necessarily what I want.

For those of us using this as a TV/documentary scripting and planning tool, adding this toggle would be very helpful.

Thanks!
