I use the Compose feature to enter an organized atmosphere for writing. The panes have relevant information and you can manage the lay out of the panes. I’ve discovered that you easily change the appearance. I’m using the ‘textures’ option without actually using a texture. I’ve found it’s difficult to find a texture image that will fit in with however ‘textures’ repeats the image. I’m using a larger image that repeats four times. It’s an atmospheric landscape and I’ve coordinated the paper color, text color and highlights with the image.
If these features were enhanced to involve better selection of background pictures for Compose with options similar to Desktop wallpaper (Stretch, Repeat, Original+BG color). Being able to create an atmosphere for your work would be fantastic and the current options fall just a little short of being complete.
