In the last several months, I’ve been having issues with Scrivener that I’ve never had before. Namely, it’s no longer taking snapshots on manual saves and auto-correct doesn’t work.
For the manual saves — I’ve unchecked the settings box, quit, started Scrivener, rechecked the settings box. Nothing’s fixed it.
For the auto-correct — It’s not my Mac settings, because the auto-correct works in every other app.
I just uninstalled and reinstalled it, but that didn’t fix anything either. Help‽
I’m a doofus. Just realized the snapshots weren’t working because I was trying to save without there being any changes to the document, so ignore that part of it!
Still no auto-correct though.
Figured it out through resetting preferences, quitting the app, clearing the Library folder, reinstalling. Finally working!
I have noticed that the automatic correction (grammar or spelling) is completely off. I mean, if my language is English, for example if I write automation, it underlines it in blue and wants to correct to automatoin
mainly it doesn’t correct and when it wants to, it is completely wrong!
this is very weird, is this a problem with Scrivener or Mac ?
I noticed that the dictionaries are from the system (Mac). How to correct this?
@modicasolis can you elaborate pls ? are you talking about Mac or Scrivener and are you using Mac laptop ?
