Does Scrivener have an autocorrect option? I have trouble spelling even a lot of basic words 
, never mind common typo issues like “teh”. It would be super helpful if I could autocorrect, and keep adding to the database…

No, not yet. It will give access to the one in Snow Leopard’s text system as of version 2.0, though.
