Automatically adjust documents that are linked by copy

I don’t know if this feature already exists, if it does, could someone please let me know how to work with it?.

I have organized my scrivener file according to my wishes, but some documents I would like to have in more than one folder. When I work on one file, I want the other file (that is copied) to also automatically adjust. Is there any way I can keep the files linked so that any adjustments I make in one document are automatically made in the copied document?

Thanks for your help!

This isn’t possible by design. We have had requests for cloning or replication in the past, but given the nature of the software as being primarily a writing tool, where it is rare that text will be reproduced identically in multiple places throughout the book, it has been marked as out of scope. One thing to worth mentioning though is that the software does have a built-in concept of making lists of items. The Collections features is designed to let you pull together diverse documents from your Binder into one place, and this kind of list will be a link back to the original document, working as you describe. You just can’t have a document represented more than once in the Binder itself.
