Hi forum,
When working in script mode, is there a way to automatically generate a list of all characters in a scene? All the solutions I’ve found online involve manually tagging scenes, which seems like an unnecessary extra step.

There isn’t a feature like that, nor any plans to add one. The problem is mainly technical, in that Scrivener isn’t a true scriptwriting program, so it does not have any awareness of “characters”. This is especially true when you are not looking at the document, and I’m not sure how useful a character listing would be if you could only use it while the character’s names are staring you right in the face to begin with.
