Thanks all for the support and best wishes - much appreciated!
I’ve told them they have to compete. Although my other daughter didn’t look as though she thought it a competition worth winning.
Best,
Keith

Kid`s wise beyond her years.

Congratulations! What fantastic news!
I am sure it’s total chaos, and you’re both totally frazzled, but that lack of sleep will only be short lived! By the time she’s 21 you’ll be back on sleeping through!
Nah, more like 30 (you’ve forgotten the bit when they move back in again after university/college)…

Three!! Oh my goodness. I’ve never even had one (unless you count animal babies), so I can’t even imagine! Congratulations!!! And try to get some sleep in there somewhere…

Now, as to the matter of naming: I don’t remember our being consulted on this. We are family are we not?
Well, ‘Binder’, that’s a boy’s name obviously, but we still have ‘Scrivie’ which, though it looks a horror, sounds nice and can be affectionately shortened to ‘Scriv’ (or even ‘Scrivvers’, if a tom-boy).
Now, aren’t you sorry you didn’t ask? And I’m just warming up here.

P.S. I think it’s time to change the baby.
GR I think that was just vic-k.
I kind of like Scrivie, but it sounds too much like scurvy.
We should really think a little more “global” and consider the L&L options as well. Say Litteratina, or Lattella. That might be tough to get by mom though.
Well, then, there would be ‘Littie’ (shortens to ‘Lit’ for the teen-drinking years).
Oh, and ‘Rene’ – short for ‘Renevircs’, of course.

God help the child.

Child 3.0
Gratz. You will still not be immune to the unforgettable stench of a freshly soiled diaper so sniff with care.
What if Mrs KB had delay the release of 3.0 like KB is delaying 2.0?
Pretty frightening.
I think in reality its more like Mrs KB delayed SCR 2.0 so KB could dedicate all of his time in helping her with KID 3.0
Ha.
Many thanks for all the kind wishes, everyone. It has been a bit hectic - worse, because even though it was a home birth, Julia (my better half) had to go into hospital for a couple of days and have a transfusion because she became dangerously anaemic. She’s at home and nearly back to full health now, though, apart from baby keeping us all awake of course.
As for delays of babies and software, I’m going to quote Michael Bywater’s response when he heard about baby number 3 being on the way:
I hope Michael doesn’t mind me reproducing that from his e-mail, but it was too funny and accurate not to share.
All the best,
Keith

Admittedly these things would be hard to Beta test before their release. But still.
Couldn’t one suggest that experience with v1 and v2 would technically be a beta for v3? This would align with the M$ comparison.
Given the above the question becomes “what is wrong with the ladies when they actually sign up for a v2+?”
so technically could we not say that the KB offspring is another sect of the +3?
NOOooooooo!!!
Bwahahahaha!!!
Wishing Julia a quick and full recovery, Keith. I hope you are not making her synchronise all her search strings in the meantime.
Three girls! The woman deserves a special place in heaven.
