Backup files not working BETA 2.3[LOGGED]

The backup files are not working correctly. When the backup zip is decompressed, using either WINRAR or windows zip utility, the resulting files are zero bytes even though the file sizes are correctly recorded within the zip.

How very unfortunate – yes, confirm. And thank you very much for checking this.

We must all go back to using non-zip folder backups until this can be fixed.

The files are actually there, I think, by size – but they can’t be accessed. Here is what Winzip reports about why - an alert presents for each file, and I just tried two out of the whole backup:

Extracting file: C:\Users\Content\Documents\cultura 2011_04_13_23_50_05.zip
Extracting to “C:\Users\Content\Desktop”
Use Path: yes Overlay Files: no
Creating directory: “C:\Users\Content\Desktop\cultura.scriv”.
Creating directory: “C:\Users\Content\Desktop\cultura.scriv\Files”.
Central and local directory mismatch for file “cultura.scriv/Files/binder.autosave” (crc-32 - local: 0 hex central: 77F705B hex).
Central and local directory mismatch for file “cultura.scriv/Files/binder.backup” (crc-32 - local: 0 hex central: 6A50259C hex).
Local and central CRC values don’t match.

Pretty clear, I think. Perhaps just needing the original QT library to go back in.

Clive

Okay, thanks. I’ve just duplicated this.

Looks like we’ll all get to try the update feature real soon
