Backup taking very long + hanging after two recent updates

Hi
I’m facing a lot of trouble with scrivener. after the two most recent updates (currently using v. 1.9.6.0) facing problem with:

  1. loading - when I start scrivener, it hangs and eventually have to shut it and start again. also hangs randomly while working :angry:
  2. autobackup upon saving and maual backup through “back up to” option - takes FOREVER to do both. Extremely frustrating :angry:

any help/suggestions on fixing the above issues will be really appreciated.

You might take a look at the settings in Tools > Options > Backup, to see if backups are only being made as your prefer.
