I’m getting the new iPad tomorrow. With the obvious qualifiers and disclaimers:
Do you have even a rough idea of release date?
I don’t expect it to be extremely specific–something like “mid summer” or Q3 2012 would work–and I understand that things may change. I’m mainly asking as to whether it will be soon enough for me to limp by on free software that provides only awkward workarounds, or if I should go ahead and spend the money to get the best setup currently available (whatever that may be).
If it’s out before 31st December 2012, it will be on time. Seriously, we hope for an Autumn release but it could easily be pushed back to Winter. We are a month or so off even a very rough cut.
Thanks so much for the quick reply. Looks like I’ll play around with other options for the moment, then. I’m reading Jamie Todd Rubin’s Going iPad: The Complete Series in another tab even as we speak. Er, type.
I’m very excited for the eventual release, though!
If you haven’t checked them out, I really like Elements and WriteRoom. Until we have a workable iOS version, that’s what I’m using with Scrivener’s external folder sync on my iPhone.
Thx for the ball park estimate. Still using my iPad and Windows Scrivener , so now my concern is - when will the Windows version of Scrivener support sync to Simplenote and Index Card?
