Best practice to compliment Scrivener?

Is it advisable\safe to create a “scapple” directory inside of a .scriv directory?

I want a system to keep everything neat.

ie:

Files
Settings
Snapshots
[Scapple]
“project”.scriv

I wouldn’t advise messing with the internal structure of your project. It might be fine up until the format is upgraded (which happens very occasionally, usually in conjunction with a major update to Scriv on Win, iOS, or Mac), at which point the update script might not know what to do with a folder it didn’t create itself.

But you can just import a scapple file into your Research folder and ‘open in external editor’ to view and edit it.
