Install Beta 1.3
Open Project
Spell checker does not function. No red line for misspelt words. ‘Spelling’ runs, but word selection and options are blank.
Reinstalling Beta 1.2 restores spelling function
In situ upgrade to Beta 1.3 keeps spelling function

Thanks Jeffrey, interesting. Looks like the shared dlls for aspell where not registered on full install. This may have something to do with a stray registry key that I clean up in 1.3 installer code. Did you get a message on the 1.3 install saying that Scrivener detected a previous version even though you had just uninstalled 1.2?
Not that I recall, but I wasn’t in tester mode when I first upgraded. I’ve another XP laptop and I’ll try on that, but it will be a day or so.

This looks like an XP problem. Full report of Vista and XP installs set out below. Install fault replicated on XP. NB it did not report a previous copy existed on the clean XP install.

Problem doe not exist when install of Beta 1.3 is on an XP machine with no Scrivener history.
