Beta 1.7 and 1.8 'update' crash

Both Beta 1.7 and 1.8 crash when the ‘update’ button is clicked.

If you are running Windows Vista or 7, does this happen if you run the program as an administrator?

Update crash: It happens both when running with or without “Running as Administrator”, on Windows 7 Home Premium edition, running Scrivener Beta 017 version, when clicking on “Check for Updates”. Screen goes Aero-white and a message box appears that says “Scrivener for Windows has stopped working …”. Here is the crash information from Event Viewer:

This is a known bug.
