I’m running Beta 28 on Win10 Build 18362.
I’ve just started digging into v3 compile in the beta, and it looks GREAT. Love the changes. It did take me a couple of hours with the (Mac) manual to wrap the concepts around my head–note to self: don’t try learning new Scriv compile approach when sleepy–but eventually I got it.
Bug: The compile setting “Override separator after” exists but doesn’t seem to be implemented. Just in case it should be working, here’s a bug report.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
create B28 tutorial
launch compile
duplicate and edit Manuscript (Courier) format, save to Project Formats
change target to DOCX
select Separators
select Section Layout Part Title
change Override Separator After from Empty Line to Custom “–Page Title Separator After–”
select Section Layout Section Text
enable Override Separator After
change Override Separator After from Single Return to Custom “–Section Text Separator After–”
press Save
set Compile For: to DOCX
press Compile
Expected behavior in the resulting DOCX: The Override Separator After settings should force “–Page Title Separator After–” to print after every Page Title, and “–Section Text Separator After–” to print after every Section Text.
Actual behavior in the resulting DOCX: The specified Override Separator After text never prints.
Let me know if any other info would be helpful.
Best,
Jim
