Beta 32 Bug - copying text with a style from Scrivener and pasting in MS Word puts everything in bold

Copying text from Scrivener ‘No Style’ and pasting into MS Word works as expected. That is if it is bold in Scrivener it is pasted as bold, if regular it is pasted as regular, if italic it is pasted as italic.

I have a style I have created called ‘Body Text’ with the following specifications:

Calibri
Regular
14
1.1 x 13.0/13.0
Left Aligned (no indent)

If I copy and paste the regular text into Word it is pasted as bold. (Furthe:, bold is pasted as bold, italic is pasted as bold italic).

I had something like that too. Only with LibreOffice.
I was perplexed, how that could happen. I rhought it an error of mine, as this happenend, when working on myrather tiny notebook …

This is possibly related to this: [url]https://forum.literatureandlatte.com/t/lh4021-beta-31-copy-from-scrivener-to-word-processor-doesnt-paste-format/48302/1]

The result sounds quite different, however. And the bug I’ve reported only occurs when copying and pasting a ‘styled’ piece of text. But who knows - bugs work in mysterious ways.

Turns out that I had a corrupted style. What I can’t see is how I created it but it had to be something to do with emphasis being applied. However in Scrivener no bold nor italics was being shown.

The solution was to take a paragraph and to change it to ‘No Style’. I then removed all formatting from the paragraph. I then reformated the paragraph to my preferred font and method of presentation (eg Times New Roman, no first line indent, space before and after the paragraph). I then redefined the corrupted style based on the clean paragraph.

That fixed the problem.

Good to know that you found the issue. I wonder why the style issue didn’t show in Scrivener visually to give you a hint.

That’s probably the bug, But as I can’t reproduce it …
