I just read the Beta 33 announcement with a little care, and thus de-installed Beta 32 before successfully as ever installing the new version. When I did, I noted three prior version ‘apparently’ still installed.
This is a familiar problem, as was that Win10 Settings Unstall just gave an error rather than cleaning up their remants.
Next step was deinstalling from the old Control Panel, which as usual gave the option to do so, and then they became gone.
I remember cleaning up a longer similar list of priors some months ago, but this problem has shown again.
I wonder if it has to do with my installing Scrivener by using Run as Admin on the 64-bit installer? I need to do that because I operate as is always recommended for security, as a non-administrative user.
This means I approve the install with the password of another user which is administrative.
Other programs have no problems with this, so I think the installer for Scrivener should similarly act well, and this will avoid your having problems with new purchasers, so worth mentioning I hope.
Best in this new year, and sincerely hopeful none of you are in the way of current fires. We have these also in California, though not so badly this year, crossed fingers.
