I’ve been working my way through the various tutorial videos on the website, and I think I found a problem. The “Doc Templates and Custom Icons” video doesn’t appear to be working correctly. It works just fine until exactly the half-way point, then the file seems to be corrupted. I tried re-downloading it, but even a fresh copy doesn’t seem to work. I haven’t run into problems with any of the other videos, although I haven’t watched them all.
Technical details: I’ve run it in the browser (Safari), I’ve also downloaded it and tried running it through iTunes, and directly in Quicktime X. Same results in all cases. Right around 1:29 the video and sound freeze up (the slider keeps moving though, as if it is still playing).
This video still seems to be broken. I have verified that I am not just seeing a cached version of the video by viewing it on multiple machines – including a random demo laptop at Best Buy. Exact same results every time. Only the first half of the video is viewable.
It could be that only half of the video got uploaded. While preparing the site, we realised it would take about two days to upload everything, which is why half of them are switched over to YouTube at the moment. I’m doing the same for this video for now.
