As stated in the title. Those words, though footnoted, are not underlined in the original text, and as far as I know, this is not normal.
I think I did not change the compile settings to cause this (I’m not even sure what compile setting would cause this).

Is this a bug, or is this a compile setting? If the latter, which one?

Try to uncheck the compile format options: Transformations > “Underline hyperlinks” and “Color hyperlinks”.

For ODT , no such setting in Transformations.
There is one in RTF compatibility. Unchecked that box, converted a comment to a footnote, compiled, and crashed Scrivener.
zipped the project (again; same project as last crash. May be something wrong with the project).
Tried this with a test project created in Beta 25, and no problems.
I have to ask, though. Why aren’t these settings in the same place in the compile dialogs?

Definitely something wrong with the project; after copying to a brand new project, the crash disappears. Since only Scrivener has ever edited any of the files in the project, it’s done something odd.
