Bullets Disappearing

I am new to Scrivener, so please bear with me. The bullets in my writing sometimes disappear when I change the formatting of a line below them. For example, let’s say paragraph one has no style, then there are five bullets, and then I start another paragraph. The last paragraph at first will be a bullet just like the previous five. So let’s say I want to leave the previous five bullets alone and change just the last paragraph. I put the cursor in the last paragraph and select “None” for bullet/numbering. When I do that, “None” is applied not only to the last paragraph, but also to the previous five bullets. So I select those five and select bullets again.

This has been happening to me repeatedly. So I’m thinking there is something I don’t understand about the formatting. Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve moved this to the macOS section as it might be specific to the engine.

I think though you can achieve what you are looking for by changing how you input lists slightly. Instead of manually selecting “none” when you are done with a list, just press Return twice.

Thanks Amber! That helped. Pressing Return twice breaks the connection to preceding paragraphs. Appreciate the help.
