Can I configure white text on a black background?

I’m interested in setting things up so that while working with a monospaced font such as Monaco in white or green text on a black background.

I’ve tried the preferences settings under “fonts and colors” but changing the text of background color seems to have no effect.

(When printing or on saving to Word format, of course I’d want it to be black text with no background color.)

Is there a way to set that up?

Thanks,

Ethan

Hi,

You can only do this in full screen mode, using the full screen preferences.

Actually, you could do it in the main editor, come to think of it. You would change the text colour to white in the Text Editing preferences and then change the view background to black in fonts and colours, then you would have to override the font in Compile Draft to change it back to black.

Hope that helps.

Best,
Keith

OK, full screen is good enough.

Thanks,
