Can I make index cards the colour of keywords?

Morning all. My novel has two parallel timelines - the lead character’s present and past.

I prefer to use Corkboard rather than Outliner for synopsising.

Is there a way to use keywords/meta-data to colour my index cards so it’s clear which chapter is on which timeline?

Thanks in advance. Absolutely loving Scrivener.

You can show coloured tabs at the edges of cards, which represent keyword colours. To do so, go to View > Corkboard Options > Show Keyword Colors.

To colour whole cards, you will need to use labels. Go to Project > Meta-Data Settings and set up one label for one timeline and another label for the other, choosing a colour for each label. You can also rename “Label” to “Timeline” if you want.

Once you’ve done that, go to View > Use Label Color In > Index Cards (note that if you rename “Label” to “Timeline”, this would say “Use Timeline Color In”).

Hope that helps.

All the best,

Thank you for taking the time to reply, Keith. That worked perfectly!
