Can I move docs in the binder while in edit scrivenings?

Hi, I don’t know if I’m doing things the wrong way, but I spend most of my time organizing my writing into chunks that are separate documents in the binder, which I then can change around, and so mark all docs in a chapter to see them as a continous text in edit scrivenings mode.
This works great, but often I want to change the order of the docs in binder or corkboard without exiting the edit scrivenings mode, and then see the changes right away in the flow. Is that possible? Tried to search and look in the faq, but found nothing.

Thanks!

Hi,

You can’t quite do this at the moment. You can lock the editor (opt-cmd-L) so that you can move documents around in the binder without changing the document displayed in the editor, but the order of the E.S. session doesn’t get updated - the only way to do that is to refresh it.

However, this is one of the many improvements that is coming in 2.0 next month - in Scrivener 2.0, you’ll be able to do exactly what you want.

Thanks and all the best,
Keith

Wonderful, thanks!

And thanks for a great application, by the way!
