Can I send a folder and its contents to another project?

I’m new to Scrivener, using the Windows version. I have created a project with several folders, each containing several text documents. One of the folders should not be in this project. I want to create a new project and put that folder and its intact contents into the new project.

Is that possible?

I can’t figure out how to do it.

If it can be done, can you give me step by step instructions?

Thanks,
Don

You can copy items (with their synopsis, notes and snapshots) by dragging them from one project’s binder to another’s. Then just delete the documents in the first project if you don’t need them there. So:

  1. Open your first project
  2. Use File > New… to return to the New Project window and create a new project
  3. Arrange the two projects’ windows so you can see the binder of each
  4. Select your folder (or multiple items) in the first project and drag and drop to the binder of the second. If the selection includes non-text items, you’ll need to drop somewhere outside of the Draft folder
  5. Make sure the drag and drop worked and copied everything as you expected, then delete the copied items from the first project (and empty the project’s trash)

Thank you Jennifer. That was what I needed.
