Can you link inside page?

I’m just learning Scrivener and am totally hooked. So I’m exploring some items I need. For the moment, it’s links. I see I can link from a chunk of text to another full page. But can I link from one chunk of text in one page/file to a chunk of text in another page/file? Both in the binder? If so, how?

Thanks in advance for any help,

John Kendrick

That’s not possible due to limitations in the linking code Scrivener uses. This is one area where working in smaller chunks is definitely to your advantage. The smaller the pieces are, the more relevant your links and searches will be. There is little penalty for working in small pieces, since you have the Scrivenings editing mode at your disposal.

You can also take a look at the bookmarks feature and inspector comments, both of which will let you jump to a specific point in the text once you’re in that document.

Thanks for the quick replies. I was afraid that would be the answer. It’s a rather fundamental problem for me which means I’ll need to rethink the structure of the document.
