I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the trusted aide tasked with ‘writing’ said politician’s speech wasn’t all that smart. Of course, neither was the politician who stood up and read it aloud without vetting. Dimwit comes to mind, but he’s a politician, so there’s that.
It’s like the ‘lawyers’ who submit the made-up ai case numbers in their submissions.

Where are you located that you think Canada’s grass is greener than yours?
Since 2020 rents have doubled even in remote locations, same with house prices. I am on a lease but if I were to move out today and move back into the same apartment the rent would be double what I am currently paying. In that sense I am lucky to be on a lease. You have to take a course in astro-physics because the prices are astronomical. By comparison homes are cheaper in the USA than Canada.
The Trudeau government saturated the country with immigrants beyond the capacity of the infrastructure to absorb them dramtically raising the cost of housing and straining medical resources and other services. Immigration is now down, but prices have not rebounded and no new building happening and any new houses bought by corporations for rentals (AirBnB) instead of family living.
Where are you located that you think Canada is better? Maybe for you it is better and your situation is even worse. If so then my sympathies to you if you think the fire is better than the frying pan.
