Cannot see text when binder background is defaulted to white

If I choose a darker color for the Binder’s background (which causes the text to default to white), whenever I add a new text or folder, I cannot see what I’m typing because the live text box for typing is defaulted also as white, so white text on white background is completely invisible. If I choose a lighter color for the Binder background, the text is defaulted to black, and then I can see the black text on the white live text background as I type the name of the new text or folder.
