I was typing some bulleted points for myself on the index cards and found that when I hit “enter” to start a new line, the cursor wouldn’t move. I also couldn’t use the mouse to move the cursor to the next line and click to place it there. So apparently I can only input one continuous string (unless I cut and paste text that contained line/paragraph breaks from another document).
You can change the behavior under Edit>Options in the Navigation tab–you’ll see an option for return creating new lines in synopses, which will affect corkboard, outliner, and the synopsis area of the inspector.
