Can't Find Scrivener on Computer--Accidental Delete?

I’m mortified to report I can’t find my Scrivener program and fear I deleted the program somehow. Computer searches and several checks of Computer software Installations are unsuccessful.

I last used Scrivener in August, working on memoirs, though before that, I had most of a novella there, too. Of course, I’ve other versions of my writings in windows, but was so looking forward to Scrivener’s cork board to help with reordering chapters in my book project.

Please help me get my Scriveners program back. Thank you very much.

All you have to do is locate the email that has your Scrivener license in it, and then go to literatureandlatte.com to download Scrivener for Windows again; install it, enter your license, and you’re good to go.

The most important bit is that your projects are still present. If an entire program can go missing, so too can your data. If you don’t know where you put your projects, do a file search using the pattern “*.scriv” without the quotes on your C: drive, and any other drives where you might have saved them. They won’t automatically appear in the “Recent Projects” list if your program got removed from your computer, so you’ll need to know where they are anyway.

Good luck!

Thank you SO much for your help. I have my license, so will try this route.

I must say Scrivener is an awesome program, but a bit beyond my advanced degree.
