Can't highlight in PDFs?

I drug a PDF into my research bin. Even though I can select the text, I can’t seem to higlight it. Is there a way to do this?

No, don’t think so. But if you double-click it, it should open in your default PDF-reader, I believe and you might be able to do the highlighting in that. Don’t know if it’d carry over though.

No, Scrivener cannot edit PDF files as it is not a PDF editor. But as Mark says, you can open it in an external editor by clicking on the icon in the footer bar or ctrl-clicking on the file in the binder and selecting “Open in External Editor”.

Sorry, you must have missed my reply - there is nothing to work out, please see my previous post.

Is this a coming feature? I see no icon in the footer bar of a PDF file.

Yeah, it’s in the next version, I just forgot.
