Can't transfer Scrivener to new laptop

Hopefully this has happened to someone else and they have an easy fix for me! :smiley:

I am trying to transfer Scrivener to my new laptop. I have the original receipt email from when I purchased Scrivener from the webstore back in '14. When registering on the new laptop I input my name just as it appears on my purchase form and the serial number and every time I get an error message saying “make sure the serial number and serial number name match” or whatever. They most definitely match! :confused: Has this happened to anyone? Am I missing anything here?

If you bought in 2014, then you will have purchased Scrivener 2. If you are downloading the current version from our site, however, it is Scrivener 3. Scrivener 3 requires a different serial number because it is a paid update ($25 to existing users). If you don’t want to update, you can still download Scrivener 2.9 here:
