Capitalizing first word after punctuation in parens

I have found that autocorrect will capitalize a word occurring after a punctuation mark within parentheses or square brackets, which is not correct. For instance:
“Take a look at this sentence (nice, isn’t it?), If you please.”

The “if” should not be capitalized, but autocorrect seems to respond to the question mark, even though it’s inside parentheses. Same thing happens if brackets are used instead.
