Change Insert Date Format

I apologize if this topic has been covered but I can’t seem to find precisely what I’m looking for.

I want to create a journal where I can insert the date in each new text document in the following format:
DDD, MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM
In other words Sunday, 10/22/2017 8:38 AM.

I’m using Latest version of Scrivener, High Sierra.

Can someone help me?

Leo

Hi Everyone, I figured it out.

Scrivener pulls in the date from the LONG date.

Sorry to post this before thoroughly researching.

And where does one format this Long Date in Scrivener? Another topic reply says System/Preferences ‘as a guess’. Anyone know where System Preferences is? Another topic references resetting the Windows long date setting. Any idea of how to do that?

Your profile says you are on Windows; System Preferences is a macOS thing (like Windows’ Settings). This topic is about Scrivener 3’s custom date metadata.

All the best,
Keith

On Windows 10, you can change the date and time formats from Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time. On earlier versions of Windows, I believe it’s a similar title under the Control Panel. Right-clicking the clock in the task bar should also give you the option for adjusting the date and time. Windows uses the long date/time format as well.

Hi!
My format is strange (I’m writing on a Mac) When I add a date, the 21st of December it looks like this. “20-49-21 Mon 16:41”

49?

Please give me a little advice on how to fix this.
