Hi,
I’d like to change the basic text formatting. I have project with paragraph indents and I’d like to have them flush left. So, set indent to 0. Easy for one paragraph. Is there a ways to change this for the whole document?
I see an option for Scrivener 3 on Mac, but on Windows 3 it’s not there. Perhaps there’s a different method, or it’s not ready yet?
Cheers,

Your data in the sidebar says you’re on “Mac and iOS" but you’ve posted in the Beta-testing forum for Windows v. 3; which OS are you actually referring to?

Hi Mark,
Good question! I got a Microsoft Surface Book in January. It is now my primary device, though I still have a Macbook and may use the iOS version on my phone.
I have updated my profile to reflect Mac+Win+iOS. The question is about Windows. Environment is Windows 10 and the latest Scrivener 3 beta (Version: 2.9.0.4 Beta (149671) 64-bit).
Do you know the answer to this question on that environment? Any help is appreciated!
Cheers,

The ‘new’ default paragraph style (No Style) hasn’t changed from earlier versions. The idea is that you only use named styles when you want to do something different and relatively rare — eg a heading, block quote etc. Everything else continues to be the default No Style.
So the way to change the default is the same as it was in previous versions: you change it in Preferences on the Mac, or on Windows somewhere in Tools > Options (Editing?), using the dummy paragraph box, or by clicking the equivalent of ‘use current editor setting’ in the same panel.
That will change the default paragraph for new documents and projects. To retrospectively change existing documents, then select them and use Documents > Convert > To default text format. (I’m not at my computer so the wording may be different but it should be obvious (assuming the Windows beta has included this bit yet)
