My main work folder is /Documents/Scrivs. Is there any way to have scrivener assume that this is the directory from which I want to open a saved file and this is where I want to save my files to?

After you save one project to that directory, the next time you create a project and go to save it, it should automatically bring that directory up as the default place to save. Is that not happening for you?

My mistake. You are correct. I was typing in the project name but not specifying a folder.
