Changing Quick Ref panel to "HUD" style

Less a bug and more inconsistent behaviour to report. Normally when I make a change in the preferences panel that change is immediately visible within Scrivener. However, if I change the appearance of the Quick Reference panels to the black translucent “HUD” style, that change becomes visible only when I close and then re-open Scrivener.

I am using version 2.2 on a current Macbook Air running Lion.

This isn’t a bug but a necessity - whether a window is a HUD or not is something that can be set one-time-only. It’s just a limitation of Cocoa’s NSPanel class.

All the best,

Hi Keith,
Thanks, that’s helpful. Didn’t think it was anything more than inconsistent behaviour, but just wasn’t sure of the cause.
Best wishes,
