Changing script settings removes formatting

Here are the steps to see what I mean.

  1. Make a document in scriptwriting format.
  2. Type some stuff: character scene heading, action line, character name, dialogue. You only need one of each.
  3. Bold a couple of words in each.
  4. Go to the Script Settings and change the font for all to Times New Roman. (It’s probably courier to begin with.)
  5. All of your bolded words are no longer bold.

You might think a workaround would be to highlight the whole script and change the font, but anything new you type will be in the old font – which is a pain.

You might think changing the default formatting would fix that, but it doesn’t.

There ya go!
