I’m using the novel template and seem to be unable to figure out how to change the exported text of the chapter name and subtitle. Where do you edit the subtitle text? I change the chapter name in the Binder, yet the export continues to show Chapter One / Chapter Subtitle.
Please help.
You probably need to change the actual text for the chapter folder. Select it in the Binder, and then dismiss the Corkboard or Outliner view to edit the output text. You should see the stuff you want to edit. The <$W> is what automatically numbers it.
If you’d prefer to use the Binder title for the printed titles, you can just erase all of this, and make sure that “Titles” is selected in your compile options for Folder types.
